Fathers Day

We started out the weekend with the ROMP ride.  Hanger had sponsored the event to raise money for prosthetic aid to those who can not afford it.  Two gentleman are biking to Guatemala and started their journey here in Eugene.  Others joined the ride to Florence and Ryan, Jackson, and I just supported the start.  (good way of saying we barely made it through the park:) It was a great event, and fun to try out the bike trailer, but Jackson was still a little small for it and we need to put up some blankets around him for next time so he would stay upright.

After the event we headed for the coast to go camping.  It was a beautiful day on Saturday and we set up camp and went on a gorgeous hike.  Jackson was so happy in his play pen outside, and the dogs were able to explore since the campground wasn't too busy.  We haven't been camping for years and forgot a few things, realized a few things were ruined (thanks to the Vegas Sun) but we played some cards sat around the fire and had a really nice night.  The next morning it rained and we headed for home much earlier than planned.  So fathers day didn't end up being a day of fishing, and laying on the beach like we had planned.....sorry Ryan!
