Six Months Old!

What a day......
Jackson decided, that since Daddy took the day off and we could sleep in, to get up extra early.........6 a.m.  Funny thing is both me and Ryan were already awake :)  If you had told me a year ago that would happen I wouldn't have believed you.  So we got up and had our coffee, and played with some toys, then we did his photo shoot before heading off to his six month well visit.  I love how the pics came out, he is such a cutie.  At the Doctor he got measured, and weighed.  He was 18 lbs 6 oz, and 27 1/2" long.  He is in the 85% in Height and 70% in Weight.  Finally it seams as if he may be slowing down a little.  We talked a lot about food, and all the things he is doing now, he is still very healthy, so we feel very lucky.  Then came the shots OUCH :(  After the Dr visit we took Jackson to visit the Easter Bunny at the mall.  They had to go on break right as we got there so we hung out and got a few photo booth pics while we waited (so funny).  He has been such a trooper today we are so proud of our little boy.  Happy 1/2 Birthday Jackson!

Kings Estate

We had a "Girls Day" planned at Kings Estate, a gorgeous winery.  However our day ended up being cut short due to a family emergency.  Thank goodness everything turned out alright.  Hopefully we'll make it back there soon.

What He's Doing

He is figuring out the world, and we are watching.  It is something people always talked about and we never understood, how fascinated you are by you're own children.  The other night Jackson was in his swing, and me and Ryan were sitting next to him and he decided to play Peekaboo.  We play it with him all the time, but it was so funny to see him do it to us.  I of coarse tried to get it on film but the camcorder had not been plugged in.  He went on and on with it, for a good 10 min.  I don't think we had all laughed that much in a long time.  He has started to like tummy time, and scoot around, He likes his touch and feel books, but still likes people best of all.  We are just enjoying him so much.  Love you Jackson!

Oops...Cereal

After reading my last entry I realized I never posted the pictures of Jacksons 1st meal last month.  He did really well this first day, but not so great the next couple so we ended up waiting a little longer to start eating regularly.  But it was sure an exciting day for Mommy, Daddy, and he really enjoyed it as well.  What a big boy!

We also introduced water, he's not a huge fan so far, but he likes the cup :)

No Camera

Ok so we've been pretty busy, but I haven't been good about bringing the camera, so I'm blogging anyway for our "scrapbook" sake, and posting pics from the phone.

Jackson fifth month has been full of new fun things.  He has become much better about using hands and can even wave hi (my little imitator so cute).

He ate "real" food, if you can call a jar of baby food more real than rice cereal.

We went to his first music class

...and Ryan took him to his first gun show

Can't wait to see what the six month brings our way

St Patricks Day

This was a fun holiday, We got dressed up in lots of green (Grandma DeMarcus even gave Jackson a St Patty's Day Bib....so cute).  I made a "basket of fun" and brought it over to Emily's to help us celebrate the holiday.  It was filled with lots of green candy, green accessories, books for the kids,

bubbles,

a magazine, and a cookie mix.  We made the cookies and decorated them (green of coarse), then took them to the Daddies off at work.  Ryan was really surprised and it's always nice to see him during the day, Jackson just lights up, it's really cute.  Emily and i met back up at the park and tried to do the bubbles with the kids, I thought they would love watching the big bubbles overhead.  I also had brought my camera and had great pictures in my mind.  But the wind came up just as we were setting up our blanket, and it got to cold.  We ended up at Starbucks having a decaf cup of coffee, instead.  Later that night Ryan and I took Jackson to his first music class, several of the families from our Birth to Three group were there which made it really fun for all of us.  Jackson seamed to love it, but slept for the last 15 min of class.  Guess it wore him out :) Though it may not all have gone as planned, so nice to have spent it with family and friends.
