October (13 Months)

October was kinda crazy.  Jackson had his one year Dr.s apt on the 5th, where he got six shots.  Ten days later he ended up with the Chicken Pox.  I guess there is a very very slight chance they can get it from the vaccine.  Jackson was the lucky one who did.  I was so worried, but it ended up being just fine.  He was sick for a few days, didn't eat much, had about 20 spots, and thats it.  They didn't scab over or seam to itch.  Very very mild.  They went away quickily and he was back to normal in about a week.  I guess if you get it from the Vaccine it is not the same as getting it from another person.  Needless to say I was very worried and scarred (he'd never been sick before) for nothing.  He was quite the trooper.

A lot of good things happened in October though.  Jackson stood up on his own on the 11th, that was very exciting.   We also had a ton of fun with all the Halloween festivities.  I decided to stop watching Addison this month, although continued through the end until Nikki found a replacement for her care.  It was a hard decision, I really wanted to be able to help out Nikki and her family, but felt I was being unfair to my own family.  I didn't have the time to get the things done or the flexibility of schedule to do the things I wanted to with Jackson.  Basically I was getting farther and farther behind, and didn't want to give up the time that I had been enjoying with Jackson.  I'm really happy with my decision.

Ryan got an amazing opportunity this month.  He was asked to be a National Specialist of Prosthetics, along with Kevin Carrol, at a PEC clinic in Sacramento.  This is his third PEC clinic he has been asked to do this year, but his first National.  Also his first with Kevin Carrol.  I was so proud of him, and he did an amazing job.  It's really nice to see him getting recognized for his talents.

We had a lot of birthday parties for Jackson's friends this month and only one left next month.  Can't believe all the babies will be Toddlers.  It's been so fun watching them all grow up and really neat to go to so many celebrations.  I'm very thankful for all the friends we have made here.  They have been such a support system for me and our family.

Pumpkin Patch

This was just too funny....  They all thought it was great until Caleb threw some hay in the air, and oh no it landed on them...AAH :)

Ryan got the biggest one he could find

It's hard to pick which one I want

We went to Lone Pine farm again this year to pick out our pumpkins.  This time we brought along our friends.  We had such a great time taking pictures, looking at the animals, riding the horse drawn wagon out to the patch and of coarse finding the perfect pumpkins.   It is such a cool farm I think we will have more and more fun every year as the kids get older.

After the farm we went to lunch at Mcmenamins overlooking the river.  It was gorgeous with all the fall colors, and a perfect way to finish off the day :)

Happy Halloween

Bye Everyone

OK I have to say the party turned out amazing, everyone came and dressed up, we did potluck (main course) and there was more than enough of everything.  The kids had fun, and the adults had fun.  I had wanted Jackson to be walking by this time just so he could go up to the door and hold out his bag, but I guess they don't learn to walk for holidays :) ha ha
I did almost cry while we were out trick-or-treating though because I just had this overwhelming feeling of love.  The kids were so cute.  This was a moment you dream of when you think of having kids.  It was like a movie, all his friends together, experiencing their first trick-or-treating.  It was incredible.  Thanks to everyone who made it so memerable!
