The Fishin' Boat!
Well the tech at Ryan's work heard we were wanting an old fishing boat, and had just what we were looking for. Ryan brought it home on Friday and I was so surprised with all the character it had. (Think ahead to pictures of his first fish next to this adorable boat......my thoughts exactly) It was made in the 1950's, and I think it will be just right for our family.
Finally Rain!

Organizing, Organizing, Organizing
Lately I've been trying to organize the baby's room. Put the clothes in sizes so as to see what I still need, stuff like that. I made a list of things I thought we still needed after having the baby shower and went out and got them. I was feeling very "ready" for about a day. Then I talked to people and found out I had left things off my list I had never thought of. As easy as it is for a first time mom to forget about burp rags, and things like that, I started to wonder. I think that's the challenge realizing you'll never be as prepared as you'd like to be. Realizing life will never let you be fully "ready". There will always be something coming at you, that wasn't in your plan. It's parenthood. How could you really ever be ready for something that is completely different for every person. As frightening as that sounds, I think it's really exciting. We are so anxious to meet this little guy, and finally know him. To have put the piece in the puzzle and see what the picture is. We can't wait!
A package came yesterday. We opened it up, and I shrieked with excitement. (ask Ryan I stunned him). We had registered for this Mommy's Melodies bear, it plays womb sound as well as others. I thought it seamed so comforting. Well I went to get it a few days ago and it was gone (they did have a pink one left) so I tried another store and again nowhere. I was sad I had missed out on it, and kicked myself for not buying it months ago, but who knew. Then there it was in the box. I said something unrecognizable to Ryan as I scooped it up and hugged it. When I calmed down and Ryan figured out who had sent the package, he said, well no wonder it was something you really wanted, It's from your sister, she knows you. So Thanks Aunt Arica sooooooooo Much!

Baby Shower Day July 26th
It started out calm, we had breakfast, just like a normal day......and then....... We had a faucet we needed to change out in the half bath downstairs. Ila volunteered Robert for the job due to his previous experience as a maintenance man while going to BYU. He began the project at about 10:00a.m. I stopped him while still reading the directions and asked several times, if everyone was sure this was not going to be a difficult project as we had about 30 people coming and that would be the bathroom of convenience. No big deal well get it done, was the reply.
Well as we've seen in home ownership projects, nothing is quite what it seams.
The next thing i know the whole sink has to come out, but wait it's stuck, not for long Ryan to the rescue...oops now its in two pieces. Now we have a bathroom with no sink and the shower starts in about 2hrs. To top it all off the temperature is rising. An unusual heat wave is passing though Oregon and our house has no AC. Stressful? Just a little bit. To make a long story short, we went to the store bought a new sink, and Robert finished the installation about 5 min before the party started (no joke)So It's about 3:15 the Baby Shower is set to start at 3:30 and Tanya and Angie(the girls throwing the shower aren't here, there is no decorations, I have no idea what the food situation is, or what the plan is for the entire party. Thank goodness, Angie arrived in time we all hurried with the decorations, and food table and everything was ready when the guests started to arrive. Funny how everything just comes together. The party was a huge success. Everyone had a great time. we payed a couple of games, ate, opened presents, (even Lilly and Suni got a few from Aunt Carly,) and had a lot of great conversation. Several of our new neighbors came, so it was a great opportunity to talk with them, and with the portable AC unit we kept in the living room, it wasn't even THAT hot. Thank you so much to Tanya and Angie for throwing us such a wonderful party. It was definitely a day that started out rough and ended better than any of us could have imagined. It was Perfect!

Ryan's Parents visit
Ryan's parents came up from St George the Thursday before the baby shower so we finally got to show off the house and town where we now live. Randy came with them and Robert flew in the next day. We went to Seaside, Astoria, and Florence. They got to see the Columbia River and the Ocean (It was Randy's first time to the beach). Everyone had great time.
Me and randy showed off our belly's which was pretty hilarious.

I've wanted this book for months
I checked the mail today to find a great surprise. My sister in law sent me two books. I told Ryan right after I found out I was pregnant that I wanted to get Jenny McCarthy's book. I heard it was really good. For some reason I never did get it, so I was so excited to see these. Thanks Trish I can't wait to read them!

Bells Birthday at 27 Weeks
Yesterday was my birthday. Ryan planned a small dinner party and made my favorite meal. We had a great time amazing food (delicious cake) and good conversation. It was our first time having anyone over in our new home. It felt so comfortable.
The house has been coming along very well and are near done (with what we will be doing at this time) with the downstairs. We will be painting the Babbies room this weekend, so I've very excited about that. Ill take photos soon and get them up here.
Baby news: Not much to mention. He moves around a lot. His kicks are getting very strong but don't hurt yet. The other day he kicked so hard I jumped it scared me so bad. I laugh a lot when he gets really excited and my belly moves so much. We're in the good stage I think. My energy is a little better (if I don't overdo it) and I 'm feeling really well. I can't imagine my belly being able to get any bigger but it seams to everyday. I feel HUGE already. Ryan loves it, he can't keep his hands off it. He thinks i look so cute which is good because I really don't feel like it at all. Our next Dr. Apt is tomorrow so if we find anything out I'll write an update.
I'm going to try to get better about keeping everyone posted things have just been really hectic lately. Working on the house and then we made an unexpected trip to Mom and Dad's in Idaho. Hopefully things will calm down soon but I think that's just wishful thinking....I'm sure it won't happen for at least 18 years at this point. We're trying to get ready for it though. Its been quite a ride so far, and we haven't even got to the good part yet.
