Last weekend we prepared our home for Christmas.  It was really cozy with the thick fog outside.  However since Ryan was out there in it he may disagree with that statement.  But he did a wonderful job getting our tree up and putting all the lights up outside.  We really are enjoying this season.  After we put up the decorations Ryan went to our friend Ryan's MMA fight and Jackson and I went to Heathers to comfort her while her husband was fighting.  He won and didn't break any bones this time, so all went well

Ryan has been taking on a room at a time, and painting the trim.  He finished the living room and dinning room, and last Sunday we painted the entry way, and staircase.  It is amazing how much better it looks but is a little more time consuming with a little one.

 

 

 

 

Two Months Old

Well Jackson has grown, and grown, and GROWN!  Today at baby connection he weighed more than all the other babies we know, even Juliet who is four weeks older. He is nearly doubled his birth weight. He has gotten so long...25 inches, but is still fairly thin, although he is starting to get chubby arms and legs, and of course has adorable chubby cheeks.  His onsies are too big around and too short.  Sounds like he may be taking after his Dad. 

 

 

Thanksgiving

Cathy and Scott came up for a visit over the holliday. We had been counting the days until they arrived and we enjoyed so much having them here.  It was great to see everyone loving on Jackson.  The weather didn't cooperate with us as much as we would have liked, but we got to show them around Eugene, go to Alton Baker Park, and The Childrens Science Musem. Everyone (but mostly Dylan who got to be PRO at tennis:) played WII, and we watched movies and ate a lot!  However I forgot my camera everytime we left the house (I blame it on new mom brain) so I didn't get many pics.  Aunt Cathy and Uncle Scott Thanks so much for coming to see our new addition!!!!!!

Baby Boot Camp

Last week I started Baby Boot Camp.  Its a great workout program that allows you to bring your baby.  I had no idea how sore I'd be but also how great I'd feel.  I'm the kind of person that when working out gets hard I tend to stop, so It's great to have a trainer to kick my butt, as well as other moms to keep up with.  We have a fitness test coming up in February and I'm hoping to be ready and get my Boot Camp shirt, It's going to be tough to prepare but It gives me a goal to work towards.

Jacksons First Babysitter

 

Last year my sisters and I got together in Vegas for the release of Twilight.  We spent the weekend together, seeing the movie, shopping, bowling, and just hanging out talking about our favorite books.  We planned to do the same thing again this year, but since our move and new baby we were unable to meet for the release of New Moon.  But even as we were not together to see this movie it was still a experience for me and Ryan, We hired our first babysitter.  As hard as it was to leave Jackson with a stranger, it was wonderful to spend a night alone with Ryan.  And as much as I hate that these movies don't come close to how wonderful the books were for me to read, I couldn't not see it.  Next Year we'll meet for sure!
