Newport Oregon

Ryan and Greg had planned a Tuna fishing trip a few months ago.  Ryan was so excited because he had never fished in the Ocean before.  Me and Emily decided to tag along, get a beach house and stay the weekend.  By these pictures you may think they had a great Tuna fishing trip.  However, the Tuna trip got canceled the day before we left.  (guess the tuna swam away:)  But they wanted to go anyway so even though the weather conditions were bad they decided to go and try and catch a few Rockfish.  Ryan planned for cold weather by bringing a sweatshirt and jeans.  (He ended up freezing just as bad as he was puking from the ten foot swells. )  Neither one of them caught any fish.  However Ryan said he would do it again, and was glad for the experience.  He also added he would be more prepared in his attire.

Emily and I had a fabulous weekend.  We got to walk around the Nye Beach area, eat good food, relax a lot, walk on the beach, and to top it off both babies were wonderful and stuck to a similar schedule.  We all went to the Newport aquarium Sunday before we left.  We had a great time on our 1st Vacation together!

Family Fest

As part of Springfield's 125th Birthday the city put on a series of celebrations last weekend.  We attended the Family Fest, and had a great day walking through the park, enjoying the music, demonstrations, food and fun things for Jackson to do.
