1st Swim

I was more excited for this than probably any other "1st" we've experienced.  Jackson loves the bath and I knew he would love the pool.  We went to the Tammarac Wellness Center, where they have a salt water pool, and a scheduled baby swim.  We met our friends there and had the best time.  Every one went under the water (so scarry for us) and there were no tears shed.  We went to breakfast after and it was really such an amazing day, I can't wait to do it again.

Incredible Infants

Incredible Infants is a class at Birth to Three.  We go every other Thursday, and meet with a group of parents going through the same things we are.  It is set up as a structured class, but has a lot of discussion time for parents with issues to talk, and get ideas on how to fix the problem.  For example this week we talked a lot about bottle feeding, getting a baby to take it, and sleeping, things that were working for people and things that weren't.  It's fun, we learn new songs and sing a lot, and meet people we might never have.  This week we were having some work done on our garage that day and they broke a pipe which meant we had no water for the day, and Ryan missed the class overseeing that situation.  I was really bummed for him because Jackson and Koa talked and talked to each other for a long time and it was the cutest thing ever.  Jackson sees him every Wednesday at Baby Connection as well.

FUN FUN FUN

It is so much fun to watch his little brain gaze intently at something with a frown of intense concentration and a smile of triumphant recognition when he has figured something out.  The "little scientist" is working hard to make sense of how this confusing world works.  He is so much more fun, in the real sense of the word.  He plays several days a week with his friends, and is learning new things every day.  I caught his first "grab" on camera.

Happy New Year

New Years Eve was......quiet.  New Years Day we painted our bedroom.  I love the new color, it is so much warmer, and  will match the new slate going in the adjoining bathroom.  It was really fun and Jackson was very good, letting us get the room done very quickly.

Three Months Old

Well,  Jackson turned three months old.  He has sure grown a personality as big as he is.  He is 13 pounds 13 ounces, and has now doubled his birth weight.  He has begun to recognize people, and loves to smile at everyone.  I call him my happy boy.  He is becoming so much more aware, and I can hardly believe how quickly it all happened.  He plays with his toys now, and loves to look at his books.  He likes it when I sing to him, and Daddy helps him "fly through the air".  He laughs now, when you kiss his belly, and stares at his ducky in the bath.  He is such a social baby, loves people of all ages.  When Daddy gets home from work very often Jackson will go on and on, cooing what I think is a rundown of his day.  We stay pretty busy throughout the week and Jackson seams to love being out and about. He is just a joy to be with, we are so lucky to have him.  Here are a few random photos of the week

The Beach....It was so Cold :(

The day we went to the beach was beautiful, but the wind by the shore put a real difference in temperature.  It ended up being a pretty cold trip and we only were able to stay a few minutes before Ryan had to take Jackson back to the car.  We'll be back when it gets a little warmer.

The First Christmas.....
